Student Coordinator
Dr. Anasheh Almasi is a recent graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. She is working at UCFMC until she begins residency training this upcoming July 2020. Anasheh grew up in Burbank, CA and attended University of California, Los Angeles where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. Anasheh is excited to be a part of the UCFMC clinic and is eager to continue advancing her medical knowledge. She is passionate about serving the community and discussing issues such as mental health, women’s health and preventative screening. Her dream is to become a family medicine practitioner and to share her knowledge with her future patients. She hopes to further her education in the field of addiction medicine. On her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and is dedicated to her faith and home church.
Student Coordinator
Dr. Donna Zarandi is a recent graduate of Ross University School of Medicine, who is working with us until she starts her residency training in July of 2020. She grew up in Fort Lee, NJ and attended Rutgers University where she received her degree in Biological Sciences. Donna moved to the Los Angeles area to begin clinical rotations during her third year of medical school and rotated through UCFMC as a third-and fourth-year medical student. She is excited to again be a part of the UCFMC team where she will work on student education with medical and PA students from across the country. She hopes to complete her residency in Internal Medicine with plans to specialize in the future. In her spare time, Donna enjoys hiking, yoga, trying new cuisines, and traveling.

Dr. Patricia Cachila is a recent graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. She is working at United Care Family Medical Center until she begins residency training in July 2021. Patricia grew up in Las Vegas, NV, and attended the University of Nevada, Reno where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. Patricia moved to the Los Angeles area to begin her clinical rotations and rotated through UCFMC as a third-year and fourth-year medical student. She is excited to be part of the UCFMC team and loves the opportunity to continue expanding her medical and clinical knowledge. She is passionate about preventive care and serving the underserved population in the community. She hopes to one day work with Doctors Without Borders. In her spare time, Patricia loves hiking, spending time with family, and cuddling with her dog, Bagel.

Luis Sanguino is a recent MD graduate from Ross University School of Medicine. He will be working with us until he starts his residency training next year. He grew up in Los Angeles and attended the University of California, Riverside where he received a degree in Neuroscience. Luis is very passionate about helping patients achieve a healthier lifestyle through diet and exercise. His dream is to become an anesthesiologist and enter the field of pain management to help ameliorate pain in patients with chronic pain.

Muhammad Madkour is a recent MD graduate from Ross University School of Medicine. He will be working with us until he starts his residency training next year. He grew up in Huntington Beach, CA and attended the University of Southern California (USC) where he received his degree in Biological Sciences. Muhammad looks forward to helping our patients achieve a healthier lifestyle by always listening and treating them like family. He has aspirations to become a specialist in medicine, where he plans to give back to his community.

Rebecca Rihani, PA-C, MSPA, is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She attended Western University of Health Sciences where she graduated with high honors in the top 10% of her class. Rebecca’s goal is to specialize in treating acute cases and to refine her skills in urgent care medicine. more

Kelly Whitmire, MSPA, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University of Los Angeles with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and a minor in economics. She has spent time studying abroad including in England and in Costa Rica, where she learned most of her Spanish speaking skills. more

Jeniece McDonald, MSPA, PA-C, is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She graduated from Touro University Nevada, where she participated in the creation of Nevada’s first mobile health unit, serving the vagrant population of Las Vegas. She moved back to Los Angeles after graduation to pursue her dream of working as a primary care Physician Assistant. She is excited to be part of the United Care team! Aside from caring for patients, she enjoys climbing, cooking, and spending time with family.

Dr. Jesse Perez is a recent graduate of Ross University School of Medicine, who is working with us until he starts his residency training in July of 2021. He grew up in Los Angeles and attended UC Riverside where he received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. Jesse began his third year medical school clerkships at California Hospital in Downtown Los Angeles where he rotated at UCFMC and enjoyed working with our patients. He is excited to again be a part of the UCFMC team where he is working on student education with medical and PA students from all over the country. Throughout his medical school training he went on several medical missions abroad to bring care to the less fortunate. He hopes to complete his residency in Family Medicine in Southern California where he can continue serving underserved populations. In his spare time, Jesse enjoys running, biking, cooking, and spending time with family.

She was born and raised in Thousand Oaks, CA and went to undergrad at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Cindy was born and raised in New York and later moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California. There she received her Bachelors in Neuroscience and is currently pursuing a career in Physician Assistant studies. She is passionate about family medicine and truly values providing the most compassionate care to all of her patients.

Luci was born and raised in Boise, Idaho and moved to California to attend the University of Redlands where she received her Bachelors of Science in Biology and then went on to receive her Master of Public Health from UC Davis School of Medicine. She is committed to patient care and enjoys working closely with the patients, students and medical providers at the clinic.
Volunteer Coordinator
Shauna Gabriella Nisani is a recent graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where she received her bachelor’s degree from the College of Letters and Science, and is currently preparing to pursue a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Shauna discovered her passion for public health and patient care volunteering at Cedar Sinai Emergency Department, and is compassionate and dedicated to optimizing the health, care and most significantly the wellness and education of patients in medically underserved areas. She is proud to serve as a proactive volunteer and as the Volunteer Coordinator at United Care Family Medical Center.

Karyn Gamliel was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and has received her bachelors degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She plans on applying to medical schools soon and will be working with us until she begins.
